Willa Bassen is a New York based singer/songwriter, composer, musician and producer. While co-owner of Studio 900 in Manhattan she worked with such notables as Keith Richards, Bill Cosby, Harry Connick,Jr. and Run-DMC. Her film credits include co-writing the title song for the John Waters film "Hairspray" and "Everything's Different" for the film "Pow-Wow Highway". She has scored a number of independent films, including Jim Gardiner's "A Pleasant Shade of Gray". Her instrumental music has appeared on TV and radio for events such as the Olympics and ABC and NBC Sports. As a member of The Working Class, Willa had two original releases with President Records in the U.K.: "Gotta Go Go" and "I'm Going Nowhere". She recently composed a number of pieces for the AMC-TV hit series "Mad Men". Willa can be seen performing regularly in the New York area.
