Woody Phillips is a singer/songwriter and has written hundreds of songs over the years. He has traveled extensively throughout the USA and Canada playing his brand of "Country Music. Woody was trained in classical music from the age of three, when his father started teaching him the violin. His father was a concert violinist and his mother was a concert pianist. They met and married while both were playing in a symphony orchestra in Canada. When he was about seventeen years old Woody "discovered" country music and fell in love. He taught himself to play the guitar and other instruments, discovered he had a pretty good singing voice and started writing songs. Music has been his life's work, especially country music. Woody lived, recorded and played music in Nashville, TN for many years.
