My aim is to write catchy songs that still retain a sense of depth and earthiness—sort of like Hillary Duff might sound after spending the summer with Aimee Mann.

Though I tried to avoid music altogether (my professional songwriter dad wasn't so keen on it either), a stream of professional jobs left me aching to write. As might be expected, my first songs were all about feeling trapped and alienated. But the good news is I've gone on to write about a whole host of diverse topics; and much to my delight, I now have 30 or so songs under my belt. I’ve recorded about a dozen of these songs as acoustic home demos and, much to my delight, have received terrific feedback from friends, fans and, yes.... even dad! (we’ve even written a few songs together).

In the future (dare I say it?), I'd love to have a hit song. My music is pliable enough, I believe, to take a variety of shapes in the studio, and I certainly welcome the chance to work with great people who can contribute to the
