Story Behind The Song
I want to support LGBT characters in many ways. This story is about two men, one of whom is an addict. the LGBT aspect is implicit, showing that we have issues like any other demographic.
Song Description
A song about being in love with a drug addict who allows that addiction to cause him to withdraw from the world and how those left behind suffer. The narrator shows anger and sadness when he sees the man one last time in Paris. There is an intimate exchange on the street involving their entwined past.

Lyrics
Deep in your dream you shot a horse
That was a very messed up thing to do
But his leg was busted, he was old as fuck
In the end it was up to you
You knew he'd run out of luck
One day your brain fell for dope
And then your brain just never came back
Now it's a monkey dancing on a bar
Or a loose penny on a railroad track
Waiting for a railroad railroad railroad car
When I seen your face for the first time oh
It felt like I was using again
Like God had left his notebook open to his favorite page
Forgiveness and rage, forgiveness and rage, forgiveness and rage...
Out on la rue de Babylone
With my quote unquote crew
It was the last time I seen you
The sky as gray as an old uniform
You fixed my collar, you asked about my mom
We kissed like old friends kiss
Like my heart was made for this
And you were gone
