As a physicain I've dealt with many depressed people and this was one way to describe what it's like.

MY BLUE EYES

I saw you on the beach
Starin' out to sea
You looked so out of reach
Tears were flowin' free
You turned and when you caught my gaze
Though not a word was spoken
I knew just by the look you gave
That your heart was broken
I know why you're here
'Cause I've been cryin' too
Sometimes it hurts so bad
You don't know what to do
You think the ocean's calling you
But that would be disaster
I've been where you are right now
I think I have an answer
Step into my deep blue eyes
Step into my deep blue eyes
Step into my deep blue eyes
And love, ooh baby, love me
Life without the pain
Someone to take your hand
Nowhere to cast the blame
I'll always understand
And the words flow silently
Lost in love beside the sea
Baby won't you heal with me
Heal with me
Step into my deep blue eyes
