Story Behind The Song
I wanted to envision what relativity would be like as one accelerated through light speed and what thought would make one do it and what it might be like if one got there. Hope i got the physics mostly right.
Song Description
My understanding of physics is that as one accelerates towards light speed an infinite amount of energy is needed to accelerate any mass to that speed. As you approach light speed from earth your length appears much longer and your mass appears infinite. From the point of view of the person being accelerated the earth would be tiny and disappear while his apparent mass would increase to infinity. Light waves by the Doppler effect would shift to the blue, the X-ray, then after exceeding light speed be gone all together. Similarly, after light speed was exceeded time would cease to exist. Thus, if there was no time, space, light, etc. someone exceeding light speed would essentially be like the assumption of God and be everywhere everywhen so to speak. Since there is no time, there would not be any death, pain, hunger, etc. At least that was what I was postulating in the song. I'm not a physicist, just writing a song, but that's my fantasy and "muse."
