Hey Donna.....Love your songs....heartfelt and well-crafted...thanks for sharing....Chet
Thank you, Chet! I appreciate your kind words. You just gave me the motivation I needed to get my new songs out there! Stay tuned....
Deep Down is beautiful, Hattie! Great instrumentation...and I hear a young Bonnie Raitt in your voice. You have so many wonderful songs!
Thanks, Donna.
Hi Donna--What a lyric, and what a delivery in your song, Harriet. I clicked on you when I read "edgy" folk and was surprised to see we have a song with the same title, Deep Down. Then I saw Harriet and was doubly-surprised since that's my given name. You were speaking to me in your song list. Terrific lyrics (Harriet) which would be impossible for many singers to deliver, but they roll right off your tongue. Wonderful chorus. For me, your vocals are reminiscent of Emmy Lou Harris, if you don't mind the comparison. She's recorded lots of edgy. All best, Hattie
Thank you, Hattie, or Harriet for this correspondence! I am so appreciative of your comments, especially today when I was hit with a moment of serious self doubt about getting back into playing, writing, and performing after a big bump in the road fighting breast cancer. I'm going to win, and I will get my groove back. THANK YOU for taking time to write these wonderful comments. You made such a difference for me today! And to be compared to Emmy Lou, well, I'm smiling. Best to you, Hattie. Take care, Donna

Donna--love Beautiful Mistake. Found you on the 6-pack leaderboard and then saw we have a song with same title (Deep Down) and that you wrote a song called Harriet. My given name is Harriet, not often a song title. All the best. Hattie
Thank you, Hattie! I'm sorry, I must not have submitted my original reply to you. I love your sound (and look)! You have so many songs, all lovely works of art! Thank you for the comments, and connection. Best to you! Donna

Thank you, Cyndi! I appreciate your kind comments. It's so nice to know my song reached someone....better than any contests or charts!
What a humble, soaring, wonderful tribute to Harriet... A beautiful statement, but, you're right... a sad, tragic song that needed to be written, but 'It should have never happened"...
Thank you so much for taking time to write such a beautiful comment.
I played Haiku Breakup because 17 is my seriously favorite number and the playlist indicated 17 plays when I listened to it... Then you wrote about 17 syllables and stabbed 17 times... I love the song BTW... Beautifully haunting... Just wondering if 17 has any special meaning for you outside the song... No worries... I'm just curious... For some reason, 17 just keeps popping into my life on a daily basis... If nothing else, I'm just glad it lead me to the song... Love your other songs too... wonderful vocals, great lyrics... a true joy to listen to you...
Yes, 17 is big in my book, and also in Haiku. Funny about the playlist...glad I could help promote the power of numbers, all signs I am sure.
