Good Job Richard....Kool indeed!
Thanks Robert :-)
Hey Buc, just listened to "What She Wants".. both with and without the horns.. I like both!! Really good production.. Well written toe tapper.. Very commercial, good luck with this one..Ed
Thanks Ed. I've got a couple considerations on this one. Hoping to hear back by next week.
Congrats Buc-a-roo!
i agree with ED--great song with horns--or no horns--nj
good job buc...
Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate your listening and your comments. Still waiting to hear back on this one. I have two national acts that said they like it, but haven't heard back yet if it made the final cut.
Petty's right, the waiting is the hardest part!
hey buc--a friend of mine named david kozenco here in florida was asked by tom petty years ago when petty went from mud crutch to tom petty and the heartbreakers to be his bass player--david was doing all right with his band at the time and said no-- the rest is history--david kicks himself every once in awhile over that---not so good decision--just a story i remember when i seen you mention tom petty--cheers--joe
I bet he would think about that every now and then! Guess it was just one of those things that wasn't meant to be. Ya never know! Good story, thanks for sharing!
'I think i'm in love' is nice man...I like it. Good luck with it. --Robert
Thanks man! I like your song as well. Have you heard anything from that placement?
Thanks. Nah...nothing. u?
No, I haven't either
dallas--life of a rodeo--5 stars--perfect!--that song couldn't be any better--i am going to put it over on my facebook page for the fans to hear--maybe you should check out my song--i'll meet you at the rodeo--i have had a lot of radio air play with my song in my neighborhood--all of the words were in the ARCADIA local newspaper one week before their last rodeo--took 7 years to get that far--keep at it--cheers--joe.
After some coffee I will check out your rodeo song. Thanks for the feedback, it's always welcome from fellow song writers. And I appreciate the FB link as well :)
Coffee..yum. Ok joe, loved the song. I lived in Tampa for 9 years and this brought back some fond memories for me. I drove a truck for Baxter Medical, and my route was from St. Pete, Longboat Key, Bradenton, Sarasota, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Lehigh Acres then Ft. Meyers. Lots of great scenery along the way! I was in a band called Blackwater. We were Florida Country Music Assc. band of the year for a tri-county area for a couple years. Yup, good times indeed. Thanks for the share, you got my stars.
i guess sittin on a corner in winslow arizona might be part of your story now--sounds like a great gig all the way around when you were here--i don't know how long you been gone away from here, but a lot has changed--tampa is a big town--for sure--been there a few times--cheers--joe
Dallas, Since I joined broadjam I have had to look at songwriting through an entire different lens. At one time 'Life of a Rodeo' would have been too country for me, but now though the genre is not my forté, I must give u props for a awesomely written song. Your prosody is spot on. I would not know what to 'ding' u on. Good Job. Hey Joe what u saying?!
Dulcie Taylor, Broadjam 2011 6-Pack Winner, is #1 on the Amazon Alt-Country & America charts. Below her on the chart is Townes Van Zandt, K.D. Lang, Cowboy Junkies, Gillian Welch to name a few. She is a very gifted writer who creates from the heart. I have heard this record and play it regularly. Congrats to her as she is very deserving. Here is the link to the chart. Check it out. http://www.amazon.com/gp/top-rated/music/63687 1
Go Dulcie!
awesome and then some!!
two thumbs up!
wow dulcie, way to go!
Very impressive. Well done, Dulcie!

New Song "Tryin'" up folks. Plz have a listen. -Robert
i love the hook to "if tears could build a stairway". when i read the concept, i had thought "oh that's original! (sarcasm)...but listening to it and reading the lyrics, it is pretty original. Good job. love the hook..."city lights!"---regards, Robert!
Thank You so much Robert for taking the time to listen to a few of my songs, and taking the time to send me this note!

Congrats there...California Cowboy!!!!!!!!
Way to go LP
Bobbe. Thank you for your review of 'All of This and More'. I've had a few reviewer say they like the song but the production is lacking. I'm seriously considering revisiting the song with a remix and more instrumentation. Do you have suggestions? You're thoughts would be appreciated. Best wishes. David
Thanks for the kind review of "Never will i lie" Bobbe Brown. Robert
Hello Buc. Thank you for the kind review of "Never will I lie". I was surprised that you categorized it under 'unique'. It would be nice to see how others would categorize it. Thanks. Robert.
Hi Robert. It didn't hit me as contemporary country, felt a little more pop to me probably with the current instrumentation. Could be a crossover song depending on who cut it. Sounded unique to me. Regardless, I like it.
Thanks Buc! I appreciate ur comment. Take care...
Hey Mike. Thank you for the review of "Never will I lie". Take care. Robert
Hey Robert- Appreciate the note. Like what ya'll are doing! Will look for more! Best-Mike
Hi There---just wanted to say THANK YOU for your review of my song, "CHANGE OF ADDRESS,"---your comments were extremely gracious, but more important, they were honest and constructive . . . I appreciate the time you took to listen to it! God bless you with your music, as well . . .I'm going to be listening to you . . Regards, Julius "JUICE" Davis, Jr.
Hey Juice. YOu're welcomed. I'd love to work on that track with you. I listened to it again and it makes me want to write man! Do you have lyrics for it? Take care --Robert
Good morning, brother Robert . . .I'm honored and flattered about your offer/proposal---I do have lyrics for the song, but I would welcome some collaboration from another artist of your caliber . . .may I suggest that we exchange email addresses and start from there? I'm at work now, so I can't get too detailed right now . . .please hit me back at jd_freetocreate@yahoo.com THANKS!
will do.
Hi Sylvia, I was just listening to "let my love in" and the adele-like versions are by far my favourites. I think #3 more. My only criticism would be the guitar strumming; maybe if more or less was done with it, but I dig the song. It's simple yet not. Take care, Robert
Thanks, can't pay for any more with the drums. Thanks for your nice comments. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the great review of I Heart New York! I'd just about given up on that one - maybe it's got some legs after all. You are right about the Simon and Garfunkle thing - I thought that might work as they are so associated with New York - hey you never know - maybe they might hear it and cover it :-) I've been working on redoing some of the vocals and remixing it - it's a tough one for some reason if you know what I mean. I see you guys do Christian influenced music as well as being friends with Nashville Joe - always a good thing LOL. Listened to Never Will I Lie - lovely tune guys! I like the singer and the production a lot!! I've got one song that talks to my Christian upbringing you might be interested in called When God Was Just A Boy. http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=69977&mediaID=483176 1 All the best and thanks again for the great review! Take care... -Al
when god was just a boy--great composition--nj.
hey brother al--stopped by to say--yeeeee haw!--i haven't zeroded anything for awhile--look out--nj.
Hey Joe... hope all's well with you my friend! It's pretty cold up here right now but the sun's been out the last couple of days to take the edge off. Weird times with lot's of friends and family coming down sick - kind of depressing. But that's life I guess... probably another couple of tunes around the corner. The song Marie Preston and I wrote - Only You - has got some interesting stuff going on... had a Taxi forward to a publisher and Parlophone Records in England is interested in shopping it around - love that as that was the Beatles first label! Anyways take care for now Joe. -Al
thanxs for the note al--good to hear from you--lots of folks sick around here too--i got some stuff awhile back called /IMMUTOL/out of california--i took a whole bottle of these capsuls and i have not been sick for a long time--or all winter--it kicks up your immune system or somthing--really works--60 capsuls for $59.95 plus $6.95 for shipping--you can check this out at www.immunocorp.com if you like--better to be depressed and not sick, than to be sick and depressed--no one talks about it much, but it gets pretty cold in florida too--it stays hot for so long, that when it gets cold--like 40degrees or lower,it seems like below zero or somthing--these immutol thing really work--seems like a couple of bucks--but it is cheaper than being sick---cheers--joe
congrats to you and marie on the song--i listened to it about 4 times and it is really a cool tune--i talked to marie about it a couple of times--i told her she looked like donna summer in her new picture--cheers--joe
Thanks again for that Joe ! go easy on the pills , take care , Marie.
yeah---i only take an aspirin once in awhile--i drink a lot of coffee--the immutol capsules were only for an immune booster--they worked!--i am on the go a lot and around a lot of people,so--i tried them and they worked!i gotta laff sometimes over this--peple paying big dollars to go to an exersise gym--i tell them, hang out with me for a week and you will lose 50 pounds, just by running from place to place and writing songs and messing with the music stuff--ha ha!--cheers marie--joe
Now I know why you look so fit ! keep it up , Marie.
hey--thanxs for the review of my song/royal ride/demo--eric clapton's little cousin sounded pretty good on this one didn't she--cheers--joe.
Hey Joe. She sounded great! beautiful song man. I see ur post all the time and it seems like u know every one and all the kool things happening. Is that why they call you Nashville Joe, because u are Nashville Joe. I have to say, tonight's reviews were on fire. Every last one had me hooked. Have you listened to Al Hovden's "I heart New York"? great stuff. See ya Joe!
oh yes--brother al is a good friend of mine--check out his /zero avenue/song--i was zeroing everything in sight for awhile over that one and his collaboration with marie on the motown style song--just tops--check out DEBORAH WEDEKIND sometime--great stuff, her sister missie pyle just scored an OSCAR in the movie THE ARTIST---there are so many great things happening--it is just beautiful--some of the most hard working people i eve met are right here on broadjam--cheers-nj.
hey fugue--i just turned 58 years old--been around awhile--i knew nashville,before most of them young cats were ever born--old school,still rule--with a computer of course--ha ha!--cheers--joe.
