Thanks for a good review of Country Feelin's-Instrumental. Best to you. Marilyn
Thanks for the great review of Shot Of Whiskey. All but one of these tracks are me and my band, so thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated.
Good to hear. You've got it, so keep pressing to get there.
Hey Drew -" Time We'll Wasted" great song man - music and vocals - Top Shelf stuff all around Congrats Tony DiPofi
Thank you Tony!! Best to you.
Hey, reviewed a tune of yours today, and it got me to listen to a few other of your tunes. Very nice work man! Makes me value your reviews of my stuff even more. you know of what you speak.
Thanks Michael!! I really enjoy listening to your tunes.
Michael..........just listened to "Gone" is that you singing on the demo?? This is a perfect vocalist for the composition.........tremendous job!! If you get a chance, really would like to know who sang on the tracks?? M & A Corey....Broad Jam members
I wish it were me!! It's a Nashville pro named Lee Daniels.
Michael, Lee Daniels has a terrific voice! May I ask what he charges to sing on a demo?? And who is the producer on the tracks? What does a demo like yours cost? I'm interested in possibly using them for a future Country song. If you can get me this info, I'd be pleased as punch!! Art Corey
It is about $850 including the vocal tracks. That is basic track, vocal track and one "color" instrument--in this case, fiddle. Stacy Hogan is the producer. I can get you contact info if you are interested. He's very good.
Michael, thanks so much for the information!! I will keep this info close to my heart for possible future country demos........ Art Corey
Thank you for your review of my song Hungry and Cold. Yes, the voice drifts, I wish it didn't, but this was a demo. I hope the final is better.
Hi Michael, It's actually an interesting effect on "Hungry and Cold"!!So tell those who comment on it (like me) that yeh I was experimenting with that kind of vocal effect!!lol..Great song.
Thanks again. I hope to do something with the song. So, working on a pro demo of it now in Nashville. I will check out your tunes when I get back home tomorrow.
really enjoyed hearing the song that i had the pleasure to review this morning...cheers man! Mark
Thanks Mark! Glad you liked it. I am actually working on professional demo of it now.
excellent! If ever have need for bass tracks ( upright or electric or fretless) let me know...would love to put parts on your songs...I have extensive studio experience in Nashville, New York and Miami...
Thanks Mark!
no worries!
Michael, is that you singing on your song, "Hungry & Cold", if that's you sir...nice sounding voice! Also, really like the sentiment of the tune!! You have reviewed our tunes in the past, if you get a chance, come on down and have a listen........we will leave the computer running!! M & A Corey Oh, 5 Stars & Likes
Thank you for the kind words. Yes, it is amazing what Melodyne can do for a voice!
Michael.....in an earlier comment, you stated that you didn't feel that your vocals were that Good!! I think you are really wrong about that...you have a Great Voice and it really works with the style/genre that you are in!! You need to keep singing your own vocals Sir!! M & A Corey Peace Out............ Again, love the sentiment of your song regarding the homeless.........
Thank you. Or course, I did use Melodyne to tune the vocals. The character didn't change, but it certainly is more in tune than otherwise. But, great to hear someone out there likes it!! Yes, I hope to do something with the song. I am going to have professional demo recorded and pitch it.
Michael..........good luck with the tune, everyone should have a listen and be aware of this universal issue......... Art Corey PS wish people loved & cared for other individuals as much as they love their Pets! Oh, nothing against Pets, Love them too!!!
Hey Michael, thank you for your review of Better Go. Your suggestion is much appreciated!! Good luck out there :)

That's super news Kate! Congrats on your success.
Congrats.
Thank you Dallas and Harry! Mrs. Kate
Kate, thank you for the review of my song Hungry and Cold. I very much appreciated what you had to say. We are working on getting a professional demo of it done in Nashville now. More than any tune of mine, I am really working to get this cut by an artist.
I wish you the best with it!
Hi Kate, my niece and her brood just love the CD. You're a definite hit with them! Congrats on the award! Bill
Awesome congrats Kate
Hey Michael! Thanks for reviewing El Paso Skyline so kindly. The line at the end is "I left my hometown Roots, so I could learn to find my wings." And it's off of my latest album "Roots and Wings". I appreciate your kind words and look forward to hearing more of your stuff!!
You hit the nail on the head on Hungry and Cold. Absolutely a rough demo to get some feedback on the tune itself. Thanks for the observations.
Hi Michael, thank you for your review of "Fantaisie No1, I really appreciate your comments.
No Problem. Thanks for letting me know.
love it
Hey Michael, Thanks, mucho, for the fine, review of my song, "You've Got The Keys To My Heart"! 'Tis a fun, fun song, no? I liked your feedback and insight. It always helps when I get good and constructive feedback. Best to you, Michael.... Chet PS I wrote the script to a movie entitled, "The Ghosts Of Santa Barbara"....about the abandoned drive-in movie theater new the UCSB campus....
That drive in is still there. and abandoned.
Hey Mike...it's the Corey's again! Say you recently reviewed our song, "Rosa Danced in Veracruz" and made some interesting comments on the composition. I took those ideas and went back and remixed the song with Wave Pad Voice Thingy and then some other tweaks as well! If you have a chance, please return to our song for another listen and let me know if it sounds any better?? You are correct about the song sounding like the songwriter is singing on it.....yup that's me!! Say, if you are really interested in the song and having it sung by a Pro, check out our Nationally released Cd Tales Of The New West/Songs of the Corey's and Dennis Kahler, sung by BUDDY JEWELL, that song appears on that CD!! Buddy was the first Country Star to win on the T.V. Show The Nashville Star, he does a KILLER job on the material, ENJOY!!! Later Sir............. M & A Corey
I will check it out.
Michael..I think you will really be impressed with the Buddy Jewell version.........Just go to the Internets and punch in Tales of The New West/Buddy Jewell......ENJOY!!!
Yes, the vocal sound is better, more present and higher in the mix. Buddy Jewell is very good for sure. I like the tune. It would sound great with a pro demo! I don't mind singing, but I know a pro just does my tunes more justice. I'm a better writer than singer.
Michael.......glad you think the re-mix sounds better! And Boy..........doesn't Buddy Jewell knock the song out of the park with his rendition, what a killer vocalist!! Anyway, let's stay in touch and mull over future tunes that we post on Broad Jam. Who knows what could come from these meetings........ Happy Trails.... Art Corey
Hi Michael thanks so much for the listen and endorsement of "Ever Since the Rainbow" !! ~Jeff
Thanks very much fun r your positive review of my time be "Gone". Hope one of your tunes comes up with in the review rotation so I can review.
Hi Michael, Thanks for a very fair review of Cowboys & Indians. It is a few years old now and sticks out amongst my tracks as s song needing attention! Weirdly, the even longer version (!) has just been reviewed by another Bjammer - I never quite understand how things get queued for BJ reviews. The song is on my to do list for a re-record and I did a bit of preliminary work on a new version last night. I've never been very happy with the final product but it is a true reflection of my youth so I do intend to get is sorted one of these days. You are right about the vocal - and I might just forgive you one day!! Thanks again for a constructive and supportive review. Bob P.S. just been listening to Trouble me, Trouble you, it fairly rocks along. Is that your vocal or a pro demo? I like it!!
Trouble Me is a professional singing. Born to Lose or Hungry and Cold is me. And, yes, I drag them down.
Don't we all Michael!!
I've just listened to both songs and you have a great individual voice Michael, most of us who do our own demos are insecure people, why should your be any different! And the songs are damned powerful as well. Good luck.
Just to prove I can do a bit better if I try harder! http://www.broadjam.com/songs/bobbentley1/i-put-your-picture-away 1
Yeah, the vocal quality on that one is nice! I would still suggest a bit more energy and emotion. Rich tone, though. Sing it like you mean it!
I'll bear that in mind, thank you!!
Dear Michael, you just reviewed our song, "Hello Greyhound" and gave it a pretty fair review! I Have a question...after going to your Broad Jam site and listening to your song, "Gone", would you be interested in singing on our demo of "Hello Greyhound"? We really like your voice and think you could do our song real justice! I am like you....I am just a songwriter or try to be and really don't feel that I will ever have the chops to be a front man! This would be a paid gig and we can talk about the payment! You would be singing to the tracks, that you hear on the existing demo....If you are interested, our E-mail address is acorey2@verizon.net Happy Trails......... Margie & Art Corey
Thank you for your nice complement on my voice. Which I would be celebrating, except, it is not my voice. It is a professional singer from Nashville who sang on the demo. The producer arranged him, so I don't have anything other than his first name, Lee. I'd be happy to get paid to sing your song, but out of tune voices don't go over very well.
Michael....I thought that was you singing....oopps! Anyway, good song! Hey.... if you get a chance, go back and listen to our song again.....I went back and re-mixed the song, tell me if you think it sounds any better?? Have a grand day Sir!! M & A Corey
Yeah, I like this mix a bit better. A little smoother.
Mike.....thanks for the additional input regarding our slightly improved re-mix!!!! On another note.....you Lucky Dog you.....residing in Santa Barbara!!! Man, I am really envious of you making that city your home base!! We use to go up there all the time, when the hotel rates were a tad cheaper. The 2017 rates are over the Moon these days.....we usually head further up the coast to Cambria. You ever been there....it's pretty sweet!! Anyway, great to connect with you sir! Great photo of you on your Broad Jam site.....super friendly smile!! You don't see that much these days, a bit of a real lost art form!! Happy Trails....... Margie & Art Corey
Hi Keith, Many thanks for your kind review of I'm In Love Tonight. It's on oldish track now but it keeps coming back into the Americana charts so i must have a fan out there somewhere! Good luck with your projects. Thanks again, Bob
It's a small world Keith, I've just reviewed Born To dance. Nice song sir!
Keith, I am really sorry. I wrote comments for your song Don't Need Another War, but spaced and forgot to check the boxes on the 10 points. Likely would have been a 43 or 44. I'm going to see if I can go back and redo.
Hi Michael, Just trying to help - if you want to comment directly to Keith, rather than tagging onto my post, you need to click on Keith's name. Cheers, Bob
hi Michael, for some reason i'm getting the "comments", etc between you and Lou Penta (?) i'm gunna tell him too, don't know if BJ is screwing up or one of you is pressing the wrong button? i don't THINK i'm supposed to get other peoples talk, unless maybe your using my thread we started?? don't know, it's not that big a deal, but i'm getting the emails that i have a comment...etc. just wanted you to know...nice pix BTW, very santa barbara! stay cool warren hein
Thanks for your review of my Christmas Song! I appreciate your comments.
Your welcome, it is a great song!
When I review music... no matter how good it is...I think is it commercial enough and catchy? T hat is what sells :)
Thanks for the review of my Christmas song. All good points you made!
YO MIKE, THANKS FOR THE GOOD REVIEW. YEA ITS NOT CONTEMPORARY, ITS TRADITIONAL I'LL CHANGE THAT. HEY THAT GOATEE LOOKS GOOD ON YA. HEY THANKS AGAIN, LOU PENTA
You're welcome. I like that your tunes all have a bit different feel to them. Each one is unique.
THANK YA I'VE BEEN TOLD I'M DIFFERENT, HEY WAIT A MINUTE ? THANKS, NEIGHBOR. LOU
TRUE COUNTRY GIRL IS FIXED. THANKS, LOU
By unique, I mean, each one is not the same as the other. You probably thought I meant original, never been done before, etc. Nah. Just kidding. consistently high quality tunes.
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHUCKS, GOLLY GEEE THANK Y'ALL
Thanks for your review of my Christmas song! It is still in the work tape phase Nd I was looking for mid process feedback--and you gave me some very helpful stuff.
You're welcome Michael - started to review it a few days ago and got disconnected half way through, so I'm glad I got another chance. Looking forward to the finished product!! Scott
Also, took a listen to your tunes, and like very much.
Michael: Thanks for listening to "Jezebel." I appreciated your comments. Best, Mack Harrell
hello Santa Barbara Michael again, San Jose Warren here. thanx for the review of "No Way", a real quick write of a funny situation...thanx for your kindness...this was a "farm out" production from a good work draft from me, and to answer your question, i guess if you dont get the title, i'm screwed...LOL..."no way" is the answer to "way"...fairly self explanatory, but again, if you didn't get it, not good enough...actually that chorus/refrain needs and will be re-written "someday". it's had a few problems similar to how you didnt get it, but only about 25%--but too high a %!! thank you for the review and your kind comments and "marks"--much appreciated. warren hein, songwriter
Warren, as you know, when you are reviewing a tune, you are listening and also busy making notes, so your "listening" is not always with 100% concentration on details. The "no way" stood out, I just didn't get enough of the verse lyrics as they went by to put it all together.
By stood out, I meant it really caught my ear. So, I wouldn't change that if I were you.
thanks Michael, yes, reviewing is always an adventure, i write as i listen, and usually only once...i get it, unless we go back and listen 2X or more, sometimes just getting the basic problems or kudos is hard, but it's all good, thank you much for taking the time to get back to me. all the best, warren hein
HEY MIKE WHAT'S UP. YOURE TUFF, YOU GAVE NASHVILLES A LIST SESSION PLAYERS A 4. I DONT KNOW? SOMETHING'S WRONG IN S.B. THANKS FOR THE SCORE ANYWAY. LOU PENTA
When they play good enough to get a 5, I'll give it to them. Kidding. I usually reserve 5 for something I think could be on the radio now. Besides, I expect more from you guys down in Ventura.
yea you were spot on with the i'm in love,it was my first song and i rushed the lyric. what the hell ? are you the only one rating songs out there? am i coming up automatic ? thanks ,lou
WE'LL TO STICK UP FOR THE PLAYERS,[ NOT ME ] THEY ARE ALL OVER THE RADIO ON MANY HIT SONGS AS WE SPEAK. WE SHOULD BE SO RADIO UN READY. THANKS, I GONNA GO OUT TO THE DESERT FOR A FEW DAYS, BEAT UP ON BUCK, TILL I GET BACK. HAHAHA LOU
You know I might be the only one. On my one tune I have open tO ratings, I am now only getting people who rate random tu
