Oh. and you're accusing me of ripping someone off? Read the description the song. I have 3 versions of the song which is an original work. 'Promises' 'Promises2Funk Acoustic' what you just heard and 'Promises2Funk" full version with the guitar, piano, bass and keyboard & drums. Seriously, what kind of meds are you on?
I did not accuse you of ripping someone off, I was pointing out that I had heard that song before and did not know what the deal was. Further how can I read the description of a song before I know what the song is? That is not how random reviews work and you know that. In fairness to you I went back and looked at the two reviews I just did for you. The first being "a Spiritual Journey". I don't know what review you read but I complimented the composition. I said the problem was all the instruments had the same tone. I stand by that statement, I double down on that statement. That song desperately needs a greater range in tones. Secondly "Promises2funk" I reread the review and stand by everything I said, most of which was I have heard this song before. Please give me advice on how I can give you great marks on originality if I have heard the song before and do not know whether it was your work I heard before or not? The biggest complaint I had with that song was I thought your guitar work was sloppy. I stand by that statement. You clearly can play the guitar. YOu can clearly play the guitar well. That was clearly not up to the standards you should set for yourself and I called you on it. Why? To make you better. I do not get any benefit from making you a better more careful musician who puts more effort into his recordings. Further, grow up and act like an adult. Not everyone who listens to your music is going to tell you its the greatest thing they ever heard. Grow up. When someone reviews your music, they are not part of some sinister plan to destroy your dreams, they are offering constructive criticism based on what they hear. Whether you choose to learn from a review or not learn from a review is up to you, but to throw a temper tantrum at someone who you do not know because you can't handle it is counterproductive. You need a little thicker skin. To put it into perspective for you. There are 7 billion people on the planet. If 1 million of those people really like your music and choose to buy your music that is considered a benchmark of success. So before you predetermine what people should think about your music before they hear your music, you should keep those numbers in mind and readjust what your ego is telling you. You have talent and I sincerely wish you all the best in your work, please use this as a learning experience.
Hey Good Advise. Take your reviews and go somewhere else. What qualifies you to review anything anyway? You have no songs posted so as far as I'm concerned you have 0 qualifications to do this and your opinion is worthless. Have nice day!
I have ears and am not tone deaf so that qualifies me to determine what I think and feel about a song. What qualifications I have are listed on my profile if you cared. You must have looked at it hoping there would be a song there that you could rate poorly, but you clearly what was written on it. Further I am working on a song currently and will post it soon. It will not be the greatest song in the world, nor will it be the worst. But if you would like to keep checking back on my profile to see when I post it and then give it a poor rating out of spite, feel free you are welcome to do it, because after all I assume that is why you went to my profile since you did not read my profile.
SPG - Thanks for the outstanding rating on my Stealin' Instrumental. Much appreciated! Happy / Merry - whatever you celebrate ;-)

Hi Kate. Thanks for your honest and kind review of 'A Spiritual Journey' I consider this the 1st 'good song' I wrote back in 2012. Has been marked for consideration on a couple of opportunities but not selected yet. Frequently makes the New Age progressive top 10
Thanks for reviewing 'Showertime'. Don't think it would be a great radio hit any time soon! LOL! Just wrote it for fun & it's popular with my Karaoke:-) crowd!!
Was a little embarrassed giving you the rating I did after finding out it was yours though. I guess that's the point to keep the reviews honest.
Honest reviews are what's needed to help you make your music the best it can be after all it's an opinion it's not a life-changing event LOL!
Hello SPG. Thanks for the review of Eatin' up the Word. I actually wrote it for a spiritual emphasis week in an international Christian School in Ecuador. I needed something bi-lingual about loving God's Word, the Holy Bible. I love what Scott Griffin did with the instrumentation. Thanks again. Your friend in FL, Mrs. Kate

Thanks for the 5 star review of "Full Moon Festival'!!
YW. You have again surprised me with your diversity and ability to perform completely different genres.
Thank you for the compliment. I've always loved all kinds of music and in all my bands I sang a wide variety of music from r&B to pop to country to jazz so I hear different styles when lyrics come to me my latest little fad is throwing in a Debbie Harry type rap in my songsI always knew I would I just didn't know when and well here we are!
Thanks for kind words and score on 'My Angel'. Appreciated!
NP Great acoustic ballad~!
Thank you for your review of Bossa Para Omar!! Recorded that one with Endre Karbiner of Munic.
YW. You never cease to amaze. Your last songs were nothing like this one and would have never guessed as one of yours.
Hey! I'm versatile! The music was written & recorded by Endre. I merely wrote the lyrics & sang it!
Cooper, I really enjoyed this. Headphones really make a diff with the super mixing job you did. Did you master yourself? Have to ask. I assume you're mixing live instruments with VST's?
Thanks man I really appreciate it and a lot of the mixing was done by my producer he made sure it sounded crisp and precise
Hi SPG..Sounds just right to be used for a TV commercial...
The comment "Sounds just right to be used for a TV commercial" was referring to your song...Northern Skies"..!!
hi SPG MAN ,thank you for yor kind review of my song England (where it all began) very much appreciated kind regards Beszo
Welcome. Enjoyed listening to it.
Itchy Witchy is an amazing work. Never heard anything quite like this~!
Thanks so much SouthPaw Guy... for "Itchy witching" my song!! I feel that it's still a work in progress.. but getting there..
Hey Cooper. Thanks for the review of Promises2Funk. Not particularly flattering like most of the others but I understand it's not for everyone. I would however like you to read this Wikipedia article in reference to your comment about one of my bass notes being off pitch. What you were referring to was the G chord using F# has the bass not or as it's called a slash chord notated as such G/F# https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slash _chord Used more in jazz as opposed to mainstream pop which is why it sounds weird to you. Cheers
I gave it another listen and I get the F#. First time through it sounded out to me. I hope you weren't put off by my review. I'm new to Broadjam and yours was my first review and the comments were offered without much of a filter. Looking back I might have liked to hear it a few more times before typing anything.
Thanks Cooper, I appreciate you listening again :-)
Thank you brother, love the playlist adds:) Keep rocking. N
Hi Veronica, Thanks for the VERY nice review of my piano instrumental of my song, "Earth River". There is a version with lyrics and a fuller production, if you are interested. That said, hope you have a VERY Happy Thanksgiving! Chet Nichols

Thanks for the stars on "I Really Hate..." - appreciated! Susan
Anytime Susan. Really good folk tune~!
HI Kate. Thanks so much for the review of 'Speed of Life' I had no idea how accomplished a Musician you must me with 200 + children's songs to your credit. In answer to your question about the song, the guitars (acoustic & electric) are real queued to a Yeti mic in stereo mode (recorded separately of course :-) The drums and sax are VST's using a MIDI input with a MIDI keyboard.
Okay, dumb question. What does VST stand for?
VST = Virtual Studio Technology which is the defacto standard for creating effects as well as virtual instruments when connecting your MIDI device (usually a keyboard but they make MIDI guitars) Supported in all the DAW's = Digital Audio Worstation. You name the DAW and it will support VST pluggins. A few DAWs that come to mind are: Protools, Cubase, Appleton Live, (Audacity which is free http://www.audacity.com 1 ) Here's a Wikipedia link on VST's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtu al_Studio_Technology Here's another link on the 10 best DAW's for 2018 according to this source. FYI, Cakewalk Sonar supposedly now free so I'll be checking it out. I hope this helps. https://ehomerecordingstudio.com/be st-daw-software/
Here's the correct link to Audacity. https://sourceforge.net/projects/au dacity/
Thanks! That's more info than I needed. I'm not a techie, but my producer is. I just write and play the songs on my guitar. He is a protools guy. Thanks for educating me!
Hi, Kate: Here's the link to my "Monday Morning" song: http://www.broadjam.com/player/player.php?play_file=3624_9293_2 1 Enjoy!
Pete, I believe you posted to my comment board not Kate's. SPG~Man
Very sorry about that. Happy Holidays!
Hi Mrs. Kate, It's so nice to meet you here at Broadjam! It's so wonderful to see another children's artist out here really making things happen and with such a large catalog of wonderful songs! Wishing you the very best! Thank you for reviewing one of mine too!!! Cheers, Amy
Thank you very much for adding my version of Diamonds and Rust to your playlist. I've had a listen to your own and found some very nice pieces there, My favorite being Northern Sky. I too have a musical work with that title, but have not yet made it ready to upload. It's yet a work in progress. I also like acoustic version of Promises2Funk, a very nice island feel. Good wishes, Marie
Thanks Marie.
Thanks for adding The Moonlight to a playlist, much appreciated. Bob
