Story Behind The Song
I was listening to a musicians' circle where everyone sat in a large circle and each took their turn to play and/or sing . I wrote this song while listening to a mixture of melodies and songs, old and new, and felt inspired to write this song.
Song Description
I wrote this song while listening to talented local musicians at their weekly session playing. I added it to a collection of my songs for an upbeat charity CD .Sparks Of Hope' that raised money for children in a South African orphanage.

Lyrics
Hazy, Crazy, Maybe
Musical sounds drift, smoky, hazy,
The beat throbs and I feel a little crazy,
Melodies surround me,
Music is what grounds me.
Smoky, hazy, maybe,
Jokey, crazy, baby,
It is the very beat of my heart.
Music circles, words spin in my head,
The food of love, it is my bread,
Melodies surround me
Music is what grounds me.
Smoky, hazy, maybe,
Jokey, crazy, baby,
It is the very beat of my heart.
Guitars and drums, pipes and violins
How I love the sound of strings,
Melodies surround me
Music is what grounds me.
Musical notes rising and swirling,
Thoughts and words inside me whirling,
Melodies surround me
Music is what grounds me.
Smoky, hazy, maybe,
Jokey, crazy, baby,
Strumming, tapping fingers
Humming, clapping lingers
Smokey, hazy, maybe,
Jokey, crazy, baby,
It is the very beat, it is the very beat, it is the very beat
It is the very beat of my heart.
