Story Behind The Song
This song was written by Renzo Rosso, an old scholar and amateur composer, in collaboration with Fabrizio Lentini. Children of a Lesser River is a duo consisting of myself and Fabrizio and other musicians who performed the song here. Our age prevents us from performing in public. The purpose of the current performance is to showcase our song to those who want to include it in their repertoire. Score and arrangement are available without charge in DAW format.

Lyrics
And does it not seem so hard to you
When all the sky is clear and blue
And I should love so much to play,
To have to stay at home by day?
The numbers say it all,
We're gonna soon leave our homes;
Hang up our phone call
and back to work, and back to stores.
We'll soon forget the clear blue sea.
Shall we regret skies we now see?
Or boars and birds which took the place
Of car and bus, of fast men pace?
And does it not seem so hard to you
When all the sky is clear and blue
And I should love so much to play,
To have to stay at home by day?
What did we learn, what the goals
When hearing news or laying hopes
Did we read books suckling the soul,
Or just lay back with game of thrones?
Now I can bet when we are set free
That sun will set, smoke will choke me!
My eyes will cry, gloomy my face
To see the world with no more grace!
And does it not seem so hard to you
When all the sky is clear and blue
And I should love so much to play,
To have to stay at home by day?
