Story Behind The Song
Back in 2002 , I started a project of composing songs from James Joyce's Chamber Music. It was good therapy to my recent big breakup. The CD was recorded half in India and half in Israel. When it was all done, I sent it to Joyce's Grandson but he denied me permission to use the copyrights so this music has been waiting since 2004 to be heard.
Song Description
It's the 15th song in Chamber Music- a 36 poem cycle by James Joyce.

Lyrics
My dove, my beautiful one,
Arise, arise!
The night-dew lies
Upon my lips and eyes.
The odorous winds are weaving
A music of sighs:
Arise, arise,
My dove, my beautiful one!
I wait by the cedar tree,
My sister, my love.
White breast of the dove,
My breast shall be your bed.
The pale dew lies
Like a veil on my head.
My fair one, my fair dove,
Arise, arise!
