Lyrics

T t turn It pink for all time.
The heart the hearts the hearts a lonely place, a lonely place
a lonely place a lonely place,
he leaves a bitter, bitter trace
he leaves a bitter, bitter trace
of better times before
before he worked through that door.
The hearts a lonely place a lonely place,
He leaves a bitter, bitter trace
turn it pink for all time.

He left with Josie Slim
I put his washing in
and added cheap red wine
to to stain it for all time.
He left with Josie Slim
I put his washing in

I tried to turn it pink
because i think he stinks
and he thinks he looks so fine.

The heart the hearts the hearts a lonely place, a lonely place
a lonely place a lonely place,
he leaves a bitter, bitter trace
he leaves a bitter, bitter trace
of better times before
before he worked through that door.
The hearts a lonely place a lonely place,
He leaves a bitter, bitter trace
t t turn it pink for all time.

I'm doing overtime
and drinking gin with lime,
I could have pulled, but back
some hope he's coming back.
I know the bed is cold
where he would stretch and fold
his warm arms round me tight
until the curtains show the light.

I tried to turn it pink
because i think he stinks
and he thinks he looks so fine.

The heart the hearts the hearts a lonely place, a lonely place
a lonely place a lonely place,
he leaves a bitter, bitter trace
he leaves a bitter, bitter trace
of better times before
before he worked through that door.
The hearts a lonely place a lonely place,
He leaves a bitter, bitter trace
t t turn it pink for all time.

I hear that Josie Slim
is moving on from him.
He snores and cannot please
her fantasies and sleaze,
he falls asleep and snores
while promising some more.
So now he's on his way
and phones me everyday,it's like a film or game
to be or not to be again

The heart the hearts the hearts a lonely place, a lonely place
a lonely place a lonely place,
he leaves a bitter, bitter trace
he leaves a bitter, bitter trace
of better times before
before he worked through that door.
The hearts a lonely place a lonely place,
He leaves a bitter, bitter trace
t t turn it pink for all time.
