Story Behind The Song

When I was a kid we would have birthday parties in the backyard on summer days. We would be served Kool Aid (or some other nutritious drink!) in small paper Dixie cups. Inevitably we'd be pulled away to go play a game. I used to notice how, when I returned, the cup had droplets all over it and was soaked on the outside! Condensation aside...I'm quite sure some of the wetness was actually fluid seeping thru the paper...yet, the liquid was held in place. I thought that might make a great analogy for a heart, SO filled with love that it burst past its boundaries...yet, stayed filled with the fluid (love)

Song Description

The analogy of a heart, like a small paper (dixie?) cup.....filled with water. The longer it sits the more the water pushes past its boundaries and soaks the side of the cup. But it remains intact; held in place. Still filled and never emptied.
