Story Behind The Song
I was working at an institution for people with mental disabilities when I wrote this song. I had become like the resident chaplain. I prayed for more people while I was there and people were getiing healed all over the place (this lady's husband was in the hospital in horrible pain with a hole in his lungs, and the same instant we prayed the pain stopped--this girl got healed of shingles--and another guy was going to have to go into the hospital with no insurance and he never had to go).

Lyrics
COME SEE THE LIGHT
Words and Music by JOANNA
The light I see, is for you and me. He’s for all we need, He’s for love and peace.
He will always shine, He’s forever mine. And he waits for all to come and see, He’s the light of the world.
He brings the sunrise, He brings the morning dew, the gentle breezes, and life anew.
The noonday warmth, the twilight peace, the singing sparrow, and Blessed sleep.
Chorus
He heals our wounds, He brings His comfort sure, He gives us joy, makes our hearts pure.
The fruit He brings, are faith and love, kindness and patience all from above.
Chorus
He brings good news, salvation’s born of Him. In death He paid for all our sins.
His conquering power, is ours for every trial, strength for today, hope for tomorrow.
The light I see, it is for you and me, He’s for all we need, He’s for love and peace.
He will always shine, He’s forever mine. And He waits for all to come and see, He’s the light of the world.
The light of the world. The light of the world.
