Story Behind The Song
'twas the stay at home time of COVID-19 - the coronavirus pandemic. I heard a bass line in someone else's stay at home Facebook live that caught my ear. So I started messing around and came up with this chord progression. Some of the lines were hanging around in my rolling 'lines without songs' list. Someone I knew had felt close to death and pulled out - and thanked us for the prayers. The song began to bend towards heaven in such a way the listener might come to various conclusions draw them towards the last line about the kingdom of heaven is near.
Song Description
Sometimes we all wonder if we are doing anything that matters - where is the self in the grand scheme of things? Then experiences have us facing hard times - and even seeing our own mortality - and the intercession of others lets us see that heaven is attainable and hope is real.

Lyrics
(V1) I had enough years, where I didn't matter, Nothing much changed, cause of me
Slow-ly my Spirit was break-ing, Imaginary chains and I held the key
Time for a change time to break free
CHORUS
Forgiveness Acceptance Trust, faith Believe
(V2) Before reality had more substance, Pain drops on my heart, didn't go anywhere
Deaths calling card left on my door, I'm still here because of those prayers
That's a truth I need to share......about
Repeat CHO
(V3) Raindrops on my windshield, brushed away and disappear
(Can I) Let the past go, live for today, Live beyond all of my fear
See the kingdom of heaven is near......With
