Story Behind The Song
Oh Lord was penned by Out of the Whirlwind member Leon Dubose. He was in a dark place in life when this song came to him. All he ever wanted was to be a good Christian. The music gave a sense of relief and he found himself just wanting more of God. The lyrics were, in reality, a cry for help that came from David (the greatest songwriter in history we might add) who in Psalm 51:10 said, "create in me a clean heart and renew in me a right spirit".
The band was thrilled to have Oh Lord in 1st round GRAMMY voting in the Best Gospel Song category for the 66th GRAMMYs.

A song journey, starting with a single voice, that took honest need for redemption from the Psalms and delivers it in a traditional gospel fashion with a choir coming in to reinforce the need to "create in me a clean heart and renew in me a right spirit".
