Story Behind The Song
I?ve supported Habitat for Humanity for many years. This just popped out one day after reading the newsletter. It?s a happy, hopeful song about a better life. Felt good to write it.
Song Description
actually a tribute song to the people and work of Habitat for Humanity. I haven't had a chance to actually work on a Habitat house, but a song seemed like a nice gift too. Any group that can build over 100,000 houses for folks who need them is ok in my book.

Lyrics
I?m a member of humanity, looks like you?re a member too
And if you could use a little help, maybe there?s something I can do
CHORUS
Lend a hand to pull you, in a direction you want to go
When we?re through I know you, will help to pull those who follow
A hammer, a prayer, people who care, gonna make a difference today
If you believe, then it can happen, we?re gonna build a better way
Nothing comes without a price, there?s always a chance to take
Tears of joy instead of tears of pain, is a trade I know you wanna make
repeat CHORUS
Come along on a journey of hope, now is the time to start
Lumbers stacked, waiting on the crew, to give this house a heart
repeat CHORUS
