Story Behind The Song
I had written this song as was looking to record it with another vocalist and a kids choir doing the Pledge of Allegiance part. It was intended to represent a message of unity for Americans. Yes, like any family, we can disagree, but at the end of the day we remain family. The time of the 45th President seems to have broken that idea in fractious tribalism. Nonetheless, I still believe that our better angels can be return and the historical principals that founded this nation can revive among us. One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all is a rally cry - unfulfilled yet still possible.
Song Description
I spent 18 hours straight Thursday in my home studio trying to, in musical terms, bring some possibility of harmony to rampant discord. Not sure if success is possible but here you go - an attempt to call us together as one nation.

Lyrics
Long time ago some folks,
Came up with a new idea
How we could all live, in freedom not in fear
They said these are our rights,
held close to our heart
Before we go any further,
This is where we start
CHORUS
We're, one nation, under God
Indivisible too
It's God in whom we place our trust
In everything we do
You might not agree with me
And I might not with you
But we're, one nation, under God
Believe it cause it's true
Centuries have passed,
Some have lost their way
They think these are words,
We should no longer say
There are truths eternal,
That last beyond today
And so you'll hear from me,
Until my dying day
Repeat CHORUS
I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America!
And to the republic, for which it Stands.........one nation.......under
God......indivisible.....with liberty
And justice..............for all!
Repeat CHORUS
