Story Behind The Song
A song I wrote, pulling from feelings and days where I've felt that I've fallen short of what I've wanted in life and perhaps fallen short of what I wanted myself to be. Feelings that my level of self-worth was not achieved and the feeling that it is too late to find myself.
Song Description
Introspective song about regrets and "what if"... but the fact remains that I am empty, and there is nothing left of me. I tried to make this song build up, mysterious feelings of self-torture, but self-awareness.

Lyrics
VERSE:
Light a candle in the wind
It's just like living
Clear the cobwebs from your eyes
So liberating
All the times I've walked away from someone willing
I must make the choice again, make the choice again
CHORUS:
If I could gather all the tears, I'd drink 'em down
If I could get over my fears, I'd put 'em in the ground
I try to look within but there's nothing left of me
VERSE:
Hold your hand out in the dark
Is anyone there?
Scream your name out in the night
It's just the air
All the times I've raised a hand to someone willing
I must make the choice again, make the choice again
CHORUS:
If I could gather all the tears, I'd drink 'em down
If I could get over my fears, I'd put 'em in the ground
I try to look within but there's nothing left of me
BRIDGE:
Tired of lookin' at myself
Tired of lookin' at myself
Through other people's eyes
Tired of lookin' at myself
Tired of lookin' at myself
Through other people's eyes
CHORUS:
If I could gather all the tears, I'd drink 'em down
If I could get over my fears, I'd put 'em in the ground
I try to look within but there's nothing left of me
