My Mother's Coat

Song Description

A specific memory of being no more than three or four years old in Hull city centre with my mother. Watching the rain fall on Princess Quay and wondering at the possibility of a flood. Taking solace in the fact that my hand was safe and dry in my mother's coat. It's also a song about numbers, and how to a childish imagination some numbers are safe and friendly, while larger numbers are bewildering and ominous.
