Story Behind The Song
This song came through at a crucial point in my life after i moved across the country away from my family, was in a new relationship and struggling to know myself...to break free of the tendencies to be a people pleaser, especially in relationships and be strong and proud of who i am...so i wrote a song to declare this to the universe and affirm what i had grown to know about myself and my worth!
Song Description
A timeless song about self-discovery, a girl journeying into nature to find herself and declaring to the world "this is who i am!" Not needing to live to please others, she finally realizes her worth...this song is a favorite of many people who deeply relate to the sentiments expressed.

Lyrics
New moon stars alive and twinkling, walking a path winding down to the canyon
Where healing waters cleanse my soul
I find an opening down by the water's edge leading me closer and closer
To my goal . . . . . Ahhahh ahhhahahahahh
Chorus
Anger arises, sick and tired of compromising me for everyone else to be happy
What about me, what about me . . . . . . . . This is who I am
Look at me now!! I don't need to please you
I stand here rooted like the trees do
Foundation so strong I am free to rise
Look into my eyes . . . . . . .
Now I stand up for what I believe is truth,
Bring forth a conscious vibration teach it to the youth
I am done with fantasy life
I'm living here and now using my voice to call on the light
I call on the light
AHHHHHHHHH . . . . . .
Chorus
Anger arises, sick and tired of compromising me for everyone else to be happy
What about me, what about me . . . . . . . . This is who I am
Look at me now!! I don't need to please you
I stand here rooted like the trees do
Foundation so strong I am free to rise
Look into my eyes . . . . . . .
Look at me now . . . . .
