Story Behind The Song

W had been aiming to do a ska song for years and whilst there are plenty to choose from, he wanted to keep to the rule for this collection about only performing original songs. Mr Plod is an average man with an average job, an unremarkable life and a failing marriage - however, he has a talent for healing the muscular difficulties of any person he lays his hands on - nothing religious, just a natural ability. He meets Rosie, does what he does and they walk off into the sunset. Musically, lots of brass and percussion - a simple story and a simple melody. Eddy and Harry do well with the vocal harmonies. A fitting tribute to the Nutty Boys.

Mr Plod, works for dynorod - he's got a job in Tooting fixing drains
He's got two lovely kids but his marriage is on the skids
