I was looking out the office window one nice summer day and saw these two standing at the bus stop. He was giving her the eye in a kind of wistful way and this song just popped into my head.
Tony Quarrington proposed that we do it as a duet, I loved that suggestion and so we did.

This is a happy and carefree song about possible romance between strangers. It's a great summer day and a boy and girl are waiting somewhere, and although they are strangers, he suggests they should get together. He suggests they could go for a picnic to the beach and proposes to bring a blanket and she should bring some booze.
