Story Behind The Song
I was riding my bike through South Philly and came upon an undercover police officer about to enter a building. The undercover officer waved me on with his gun. I peddled out of there. As I got to the next block, I heard gunshots. Later that day the story made the news.

Lyrics
Gun In Your Hand
Out on the road
I was flirting with the sun
I turned the corner
He had a big gun
I thought to myself.
"Move as fast as you can.
'Cause you don't want to mess with an angry man".
(Chorus)
What can I do when I'm looking at you.
With a gun in your hand, with a gun in your hand, with a gun in your hand.
With a gun. In your hand.
I was a block away
I heard a big, big, sound.
A terrible scream.
Heads spun around
In the front door, turn on the news
TV reporter singing dead man blues.
(Bridge)
They never caught him.
He was never found.
The big, big gun.
Got the hell out of town.
Repeat first verse
(Chorus)
