During the early days of COVID I was in shutdown, As a composer and instrumentalist, Whittenberg is always looking for great drum tracks online. One day he randomly saw Philadelphia drummer Ritchie DeCarlo playing a cool Latin and Carribean groove with a heavy beat. "I just flipped out when I heard it," says Rodney. He immediately envisioned an entire instrumental song in his head, began putting it together, and then sent it to Ritchie, whose response was "Damn!" At that point, the two artists knew they had to record together. The result was the wonderfully playful and rocking "Rest and Relaxation."

Song Description

The song is a product of the Covid shut down. Drummer Ritchie Decarlo is always posting drum tracks online. One Sunday morning I was in my studio and looking at facebook and I saw this post for Ritchie , it was him playing drums in his studio. He was playis thai cool latin caribbean groove but heavy and I just flipped. I first met Ritchie when he was 17 and I have been a fan. He played in my band for a while. I ripped the video off facebook. I could hear the entire song in my head so I began putting it together. I sent it to Ritchie. His exact response was Damb !!!! I have decided to release it to radio. I hope that it will make people happy or smile for 2:48.
