Witches Slow Dance

Story Behind The Song

Called by some The Devil?s Backbone, this trail is etched with a mysterious and melancholic history. It whispers its secrets, filled with tales of great danger and gothic legends, shrouded with sad stories of the demise of the Natchez Trace Indians and the mysterious death of the extraordinary explorer, Meriwether Lewis. Along the way travelers frequently report of peculiar patches where the green grass is spotted with brown as if it had been burnt in the shape of footprints. It has been explained that this is where the witches dance.
