Story Behind The Song

I started out wanting to write a song for my daughter's upcoming wedding. Even though it didn't work for that event, it has a place in my repetoire. I still get a kick remembering the smile that came across my producer's face when he heard the line "Promise me you'll hold me just till I fall asleep." He was used to hearing me say that when I would come to the studio in one of my sleep-deprived states. So the song is worth it to me for that smile alone.
