Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song for my son, Sean, to sing at his sister, Emily's, wedding reception. Alas, Sean is a bit shy, especially when it comes to performing live, so he opted, instead, to record this for her to hear later. Well, the first opportunity she got to hear it was right after she had given birth to her little boy, Eli. I played the song for her while we were sitting in the car outside her home, taking a break from the feedings and changes and all that. As she listened to the song and to Sean's melodic voice, her eyes teared up. About 2/3 of the way through the song, she erupted, "Mom, how could you do this? Can't you see I'm hormonal?" I learned a lesson that day: there is a time and place for everything.
