Story Behind The Song

This theme was starting to become a staple of mine - love in your own way. Did you ever meet someone and feel an instant connection? That feeling prompted me to write this song - the ebb and flow of life that pulls us in and out of relationships even as we seem to keep returning to the one that is the most fulfilling. Originally, the song was meant to be a one-woman show but, when my producer heard it, he envisioned it as a duet and, since I trust his instincts when it comes to arranging, this duet was born. My brother, Scott, included it in our musical "Wedded Bliss," as the song sung by the never-wed parents of the groom when they finally confess their neverending love for each other.
