Story Behind The Song
This is the last song I wrote while living in the East Bay in California. Though it was my choice to leave, the decision was not without sadness at leaving behind wonderful memories and friends and my precious music producer, Bill. I thought about the people with whom I'd made some kind of connection and how I wish I could bring them with me or, if that weren't possible, maybe I could at least convey the mixed feelings I had about leaving them behind. I like the unusual rhyme scheme as well as the sentiment.

Lyrics
Sincerely, Me
Dear You,
V1: I've been drifting, reluctant to commit
But now the fog is lifting, Tag, you're it
It's up to you, my dear, I'm waiting here for you
If I asked you, would you come running
To my rescue? Help me navigate
This high wire - I'm in dire need of you
Sincerely, Me
V2: We shared a moment of trust
Now all I need is for you to own it
You must make the next move if only to prove
I matter to you
If you were braver, you'd come with me
Instead of trying to save her but that's not
What you'll do and I love that about you
Sincerely, Me
V3: This is not rehearsal - this is my life
So please be merciful- do whatever's right
For me and you - I hope you do
Well, I feel better now that I've written my thoughts
In this letter - take the time to read it
As you go so you'll know I'm here for you
Faithfully
Sincerely, Me
P.S I promise not to cry
If this is really goodbye
